Who we are
For over a decade, Samantha Stites was stalked by a man who refused to leave her life in peace. Despite multiple attempts to obtain legal protection, her requests for a continued Personal Protection Order (PPO) were denied. In October 2022, her worst fears came true — she was abducted and held captive in a remote, underground bunker designed to silence and erase her. What followed was a terrifying ordeal, but also a testament to Samantha’s resilience. Drawing on her training as a mental health professional, she remained calm, negotiated with her captor, and ultimately found a way to escape.
Today, Samantha uses her voice not only to share her story, but to fight for the safety of others. She is advocating for stronger laws to protect stalking victims before violence escalates. Her courage sparked statewide conversations about the gaps in our legal system, and her mission is simple but urgent: no one else should have to endure what she did. Through public speaking, survivor support, and legislative outreach, Samantha is turning pain into purpose — and helping to build a future where survival isn’t the only option.
